The Lightning Dream

It was a normal day in the coast of Florida I was having ice cream with my friends. It was a sunny day. We were by a building. But then it suddenly started to rain. It was a bit weird that it was sunny and then it was suddenly cloudy so Miles (my friend) and I moved inside the building, but before we could do that the building was struck down by pink lightning. Then we realized that no one was around. It was just Miles and me. and the pink lightning was staying. It wasn’t moving.

We were very scared. We found a car with no roof that had the key in it. But there was no driver. We got into the car and drove away, I was driving. But then a lightning bolt was struck right in front of us. But instead of being blasted to bits we were riding on top of the lightning.  I considered going back to the ground but we were too far up. The lightning was 8ft wide so riding it was HARD, but drivable. As we were driving, Miles said, “We are witnessing an amazing spectacle,” and then stared taking photos around us. I was too busy driving to pay attention to any of that.

A few minutes later a lightning bolt hit me. As soon as it hit me I had a vision of Zeus saying, “You are gifted with incredible power, the lightning that you control now can be harmless and super harmful, make me proud.” Then I drifted back to reality. I saw myself falling into the Atlantic Ocean. But then somehow I created a enchanted lightning net that caught us from falling. “How did you do that?” Miles asked.

“I don’t know,” I said. Then I saw a guy 500 ft tall with a trident stand in the ocean. “It’s time to kill you before you learn how to wield your incredible power,” he said. Then he cast a body of  water the size of a lake at us. But before it reached I blocked it with a wall of lightning. The water made a splash sound, bounced off and went into the ocean. Then I jumped off the lightning net and punched the giant. Then I levitated and he fell immediately into the sea. Splash!

But then I realized Miles wasn’t with me. I looked around and saw a that a Skull Army had captured him. So then I flew to the beach and one by one started punching them with my lightning. Once I beat it out of them went to Miles who was in a cage.

“Miles are you okay?” I asked but then a skeleton backstabbed me.

Then I suddenly woke up in Peru. Aww man I really wish I could have the power. But I also didn’t want to be backstabbed by a skeleton!

Backpack project

Me and my classmates did a backpack project. The project was based on the book Finding Some Place by Denise Lewis Patrick. It is a story about a girl name Reesie and how her life is like with hurricane Katrina.

By me

So the project was basically if you had to evacuate a place because a hurricane was coming and your parents would only let you bring a backpack what would you bring. I wrote all the things that I would bring:

By me

Those are all the thing that I would need if a hurricane came. I don’t really have a connection to many things persa but the things that I do have a connection to I am bringing. Like my Nintendo. I also brought some lego characters because I have a connection to them. But mostly the essential things.

Another part of the project was that you had to write an essay about who you thought the main character was. I did Reesie but now that I look back I’m not so sure.

This is where a picture of my essay would be but the assignment was 2 months ago so I threw it away. Sorry you desperate readers. In know your sad. You are sad, RIGHT?

By the way those of you reading my blog I would recommend reading Finding Some Place. It is a really good book.

Camp Kirkwood

1 month ago I went to the adventurous Camp Kirkwood. It was so fun and adventurous. The bus ride there was two hours long(the second longest bus ride I’ve been on). On the ride there I played Uno  and on the bus TV watched Cloudy with a chance of meatball.

Originally we weren’t going to go because of a hurricane that struck there. Most people would be in their basement when a hurricane struck but we were an exception. When I arrived there we were at the pavilion. But then my cabin guys went to cabin five. I ran to the front of the line to be on a top bunk. Not only did I have a top bunk I also had the bottom one to keep my stuff.

In Camp Kirkwood I did many activities. But my favorite one was the zip line V swing. When I was 50 ft in the air I met my life’s purpose. Being in the air, being in the sky, and when I swung I thought I could fly. I also felt like I was going to die, but I still had a grin on my face.

Out of all the things we did the V swing was the best. Not that the zip line or pool or Kanga jump was bad but the V swing was the BEST.

At Camp Kirkwood in the cabins I played A LOT of Uno and Blackjack and chess. We played so much that the only thing I remember doing there was sleeping and  playing chess and blackjack and uno. I also spent a lot of time in the boat. My friends and I had a foam log and then we did this thing where you would point somewhere on the log and we  would push them there.

One the last day there I got to meet a tiny pig named bubbles. He was very unique.
